430 Hog Shed

This shed has an open front and is used for the farrowing, raising and fattening of swine. Walls are constructed with an exterior covering of vertical boards, plywood or metal siding. The sidewalls are usually stationary. The back wall may be hinged for ventilation. There usually is some electrical and water to the pens. Most have some type of flushing system.

For slotted floors use one of the following:

Finished Basement for Deep Pit

Semi-finished Basement for Shallow Pit

Unfinished Basement for Flush Pit

For this occupancy, which may have one or more open sides, you should always enter the actual walled perimeter. If the shape option is used, the program calculates perimeter based on a three-sided structure.
