418 Health Club

Health clubs are designed as small physical fitness facilities with limited exercise and conditioning areas. Better quality clubs generally will have a snack bar, massage and steam room and sauna facilities, as well as locker and shower rooms, concentrating on day spa personal services.

A typical neighborhood health club, usually one story, may only be 2,000 to 6,000 square feet in size, while the better resort luxury day spa facility can be much larger. For large gymnasium type fitness centers with sports courts, running tracks, etc., use one of the following occupancies:

483 Fitness Center

416 Indoor Tennis Club

417 Racquetball-Handball Club

The following are not included in the costs: Kitchen equipment, steam generating equipment, lockers, sports courts, spas, exercise equipment or swimming pools.
