These buildings include a large, simple clear-span riding or exercise area with some stabling facilities. A good show, exhibit or auction/sale facility includes spectator viewing and lounge commensurate with the quality level.

For lean-to extensions, use occupancy 560 (Equestrian Lean-To).

The buildings are usually built of masonry, wood frame or metal construction. The spectator and lounge areas have concrete flooring. The better qualities have high level lighting, horse washes, restrooms, showers, finished stalls and feed rooms. These units are generally not heated.
