Marble chips in concrete. After the concrete has hardened, the floor is ground and polished by machine to expose the marble chips. It is normally applied in two methods: 1) by bonding the concrete fill and the underbed together, or 2) by separating it from the structural slab. When it is laid over wood floors, the underbed must be at least 2" thick.
