A concrete foundation for a building which has bearing walls supporting the upper floor(s) and roof structure.
Excavation, trenching, forming, reinforcing, concrete and backfill required for both perimeter and interior footings and foundation.
For Class D buildings, use one of the following components:
CAE (Concrete, Siding or Stucco Bearing Walls)
CAF (Concrete, Masonry Veneer Bearing Walls)
Consider the following when selecting a quality:
Load supported: The greater the load, the higher the quality.
Size and shape: The higher the ratio of the perimeter to floor area, the higher the quality.
Load-bearing capacity of the soil: The lower the capacity, the higher the quality.
Topography: Stepped foundations require a higher quality.
Climate: The deeper the frost line, the higher the quality.
Enter the following for this component:
Percent of Total Floor Area: 1 – 100, or
Floor Area (Square Feet)
