Roof structure is also the interior ceiling finish of the floor area directly below. The supporting frame may be large timber members which are either finished or left natural. The sheathing is tongue and groove boards, either 1" or 2" thick by 6" or 8" wide. The sawtooth design has a serrated cross-section whose shorter, steep or vertical sides have fenestration for light and ventilation.
