This is a rigid insulation board which typically has an acrylic-synthetic stucco plaster coating applied to the exterior exposed surface of the board. Thickness of the board insulation varies between 1/2" and 2" typically. The plaster coating is affixed to the board through the use of a matting material. The thickness of the matting material can vary. The board in turn is attached to non-bearing steel studs which is attached to a supporting frame. It is one of the least expensive curtain walls in mid to high-rise buildings.
